Lately I have been targeted by them to remove my audio tracks from my slide shows, speed paints, etc. So I been going after creative commons music as of late and let me just say…it’s freaking hard to find good orchestral music that is free. Most music, including the shiz youtube posts for replacing the tracks is TERRIBLE. Ugh.
Anyways, I find that lately youtube has been WAY too strict with this type of thing. I can maybe understand if it’s an unknown artist and the person using it is making money or something off of it, but most of the videos I have seen pulled or muted are things like mine or just silly fan videos, and ALL of them have credited the original artist. All these videos do is give more publicity to already well known bands/movies/artists. I really don’t see why they get their panties in a wad over it all. It would be different if it were full copyrighted movies or these people, like I said, were making money from them, but they aren’t. It annoys me.

Published February 26, 2009 | I can never seem to keep it organized in a nice manner. I sort it by year but then I have too much in one category, and it’s hard to find a certain type of picture. Then I sort it by ‘genre’ so to speak and I end up with years mashed together but then at least it’s all similar things. Only issue with that is my folders are always HUGE and I can’t ever get the gallery script to sort it exactly how I would like. I guess I’m just very anal when it comes to how I organize my art. It’s good enough as it is now… until probably next year when my folders will be so huge I’ll probably have to purge them of old stuff. The one thing I really dislike about nextgen is you cannot move photos and images from one gallery to another. I hope they add this feature in there someday.
Anyways, moving on. I’ve been on an icon making spree the last two days, made some really ridiculous looking icons for myself and some friends. I think so far my commissions for icons are the biggest seller. Which, although they are cheap, is ok since they are smaller and don’t take me eons to finish up.
Anywho, my eyes and sinus pressure are starting to really annoy me so I’ll take a break from looking at this text. Ehm so for now I’ll just leave you guys with this cucumber image I made last year and promise a more interesting and better post next time.
Oh yea and my question of the day…
What is your favorite type of soda? Or I should say drink since some don’t drink soda.

It’s finally done! Ok so I finally got a new layout up and it’s pretty much coded from scratch. I went with complimentary colors, orange and blue since I love blue and well I got tired of seeing just all blue and purple and black layouts from me.
I still need to get the archive thing for my blog entries set up but I’ll work on that a little later. I need to take a break from staring at all this code so I’ll go finish up some icon commissions. Also trying to get this site out there a bit and posted a listing at Technorati.
In other news I am just floored sometimes at the comments I get over at my youtube and dA account. I’ll snag a couple just so you folks can enjoy them and maybe get a good chuckle.
I think I just totally will, once I’m all growed up I’ll just be the best that I can be and I’ll magically be able to rake in a ton of money!

I get this A LOT and I really don’t know why. I thought it was pretty obvious just by the name GreyKITTY, but maybe not. I guess it could be a gay guy…
Ok enough of quoting, but I get some of the dumbest comments or just questions that if the person were to actually do just a teeny bit of research they’d have the answer. I always get the “What programs do you use?” on my speedpaint videos and I list them ALL at the end of each video. Or I put that info in the description. It gets to the point I just ignore these people. I have had some people, back in my LotR fan page days, that actually thought I was one of the actors from the movie and would send me their phone numbers and mailing addresses and love e-mails in hot pink and huge font. I had one that was in Spanish even!
Ahhh good times. I do get the occasional flame as well, most of which are quite pathetically put together. “I hate ur art u suck!1!!!11!” or “ur a fur die fufag” (which by the way I’m not a furry) Stuff like that.
Don’t get me wrong I love getting feedback from people who enjoy my art and I appreciate it, but sometimes I get comments that just make me roll my eyes.
What are some of the oddest comments and/or e-mails you have received?
