New Video
I haven’t got much to blog about today so I’ll post the newest video I made of my latest drawing.
Might have other stuff to post later next week but for now this is all. Check out my galleries cause I have posted new commissions, personal works, photos of pets, and gift arts. My youtube has been updated with a few new videos too.
Busy
Well I been busy or just not in the mood to blog so that explains the gap in posting the last week or so. Ah well.
So this last weekend we made it to F.A.C.T.S. It was interesting, I haven’t been to a convention in a very long time. I saw some great art and met a couple artists. After my husband kept prodding me to go over and talk to her and pass her a card of mine, I found out she lives in a neighboring city and makes a lot of art for pet sites, like NeoPets only not as large.
Almost got to see the actor from Stargate but every time he was coming to the stage we were in another part of the building or had left. There were SO many vendors and Star Wars cosplayers. Well anime too but storm troopers probably made up 20% of all the costumes and Star Wars in general about %40.
It was kinda neat to see them all. Then of course you bump into the few costumes you wish to unsee. I won’t go into detail about those. XD
So that was my weekend, maybe someday I’ll partner up with someone at a convention and sell originals and prints. I wouldn’t mind trying it sometime. Might be kinda fun and it’d be a way to get my name out there a little.
I been busy with arting quite a bit, I have refurbished my portfolio and finally got the art put back up on it. I need to find a script that the host won’t reject for my gallery or I WILL be moving it to this domain and just transferring the domain name to my subdomain name here. I’m really tired of the host never supporting my php or cgi scripts. It’s set up for a whole different type of coding that is old and outdated. It is FREE hosted, BUT since I have so much room on this domain and I want the site to keep a professional feel to it I might just have to move it.
Ok so the last little thing I will add in this long babble of my life was something I found the other day. A truck with whale penis interior. WHAT? WHY? I wanna know whyyyy? Seriously haven’t they got something better to line the car with. hah! PETA must have shat themselves when they heard about it. The truck costs One Million Euros. That’s about One point Six Million Dollars. @____@
Just check out the link. What people won’t waste money on making….
My Top 20 Animated Films IV
The last part of my top 20! Just so everyone knows I DO NOT have a specific order. These are just my top twenty favs. So they are not labeled in order of “greatness”. I’ve had a few people ask me about this. :P
4. Beauty and the Beast
I’m sure everyone knows this movie so I don’t really have to explain it much. The animation is beautiful, the characters are great and the music is excellent. It’s another of the 90′s Disney classics. I haven’t got much else to add about it so I’ll leave it at this!
3. Howl’s Moving Castle
This movie is strange but good. The story is something I never would have expected of guessed how it would end. It is so out of the norm from what I usually watch, but that’s one thing I love about it. Recently found out it’s based off a book too, I must get my hands on it.
Anyways tis a great movie, good animation, music, and characters. Everything is memorable about it, I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys fantasy movies.
2. Toy Story
I always loved this one from a little kid on up. Although it sparked the fall of 2D.
It is still one of my favorites. Great characters, nice story, excellent animation, and for the time ground breaking. The music is nice, even if I’m not a big fan of Randy Newman, the white man with a black man’s voice. None of the characters sing either! Yay! That would not have fit in the movie anyways.
1. An American Tail 1&2
Ok yeah so it’s not just one movie but I kind of clump these two together because they are equal in excellence. I loved both of them, however their other sequels…not so much. We won’t go there though. The first was directed by Don Bluth and everything has the grungy type style that he is known for, the second was updated in the 90′s and directed by Steven Spielburg. The animation isn’t quite as grungy as the first and the character designs have changed slightly. I do prefer some of the designs in the sequel over that of the first one but overall they both have great animation. Both stories are good, the first is more emotion driven and the second is more comedy. Both have singing mice, but at least they are short songs and most are pretty good. The scores are great on both, they are two of my favorites from Horner. Not much else to say on that! :)
