Line Art!

I’ve been making some more free line art to color. Go ahead and stop by the “Goodies” page and check them out! So far I’ve added an Ocelot and an Otter. I’m planning on making several others of different kinds of animals, hoofed creatures and winged ones too. If anyone has suggestions on something they’d like to see added feel free to leave a comment or shoot me an e-mail!

In other news I’ve been updating my art sections. Eventually I’ll get around to re-posting some of my photography but for now I just don’t have the time or motivation. I’ve seen a couple movies since my last review post, Beauty and the Beast 3D, Tin Tin and Sherlock Holmes. They were all really good, I enjoyed them a lot. Totally recommend them. It was really cool seeing Beauty and the Beast remastered like that. The 3D reminded me of my old View Master. lol

My comic site is also a year old now and we’re fast approaching 50 comics! Woot! I’m kinda proud of myself for sticking to it for so long. I usually get to about three or four pages of comics then stop, but I’ve kept going. Mainly though because I’ve received so much feedback about them. I appreciate it folks!

SOPA and PIPA

So my site was blacked out from early this morning until evening to participate in the SOPA Strike. I may sound like a broken record now but I’m quite passionate about spreading the word about this, as I’ve seen how horribly informed most people I know are about these two bills. The strike had a good effect, it made it to national news! It is a step in the right direction. The internet is just something we cannot allow the government to take control of. There’s still a fight ahead, please pass the word on about these things. Stay informed. If the government gets into the internet, our freedoms as we know it are at stake.

SOPA and PIPA are power grabs to control the internet. This would allow a firewall like that of China or Iran. Thankfully there has been progress made in the SOPA battle and it has been shelved, but there is still more to be done. PIPA is equally as dangerous.

The same filter that is used in China, Iran, and Syria would basically be implemented here in the United States. This gives the government and corporations that are lobbying for this the ability to remove ANYTHING they want. It doesn’t matter if it infringed copyrights or not. This will have a ripple effect to the whole internet. Please check out this video and if you live in the US contact your congress people, even if it’s just signing a petition. http://americancensorship.org/

Hacked!

So my site was hacked through an exploit in my art gallery. The problem has been resolved and the offending code has been taken care of however, my galleries had to be wiped as did my comic site. I will be working on restoring them as soon as I can but it might take a few days.

Well almost. I decided to put up a new layout cause the green was getting old. Now it’s PURPLE BOMB! I haven’t got much of an update though. Haven’t seen a whole lot of new movies lately. I have posted a lot of new art and comics since the last update so be sure to swing by both of those galleries. Otherwise… that’ll be all for now! I’ll have an actual blog entry… soon maybe and a new review since Puss in Boots is coming out. >3

Just A Little Note

Why have I not updated since the 4th? Well… I have but only my art gallery. Why I haven’t blogged… well I’ve not watched any movies that are worth reviewing or bashing, and I haven’t really had anything interesting to say. So what I have been busy with is THIS.

The author of Jasper Sinclaire and I have got our own publishing company up and running! So take a look at that. It’s pretty cool if I may say so.

Otherwise I’ve just been busy working on art, pulling that site together and other random things. Most of the things I’ve had planned for this site have sat on the back burner for a bit just due to being busy, so I can’t say when I’ll get around to new tutorials or adding more goodies, but I hope it’ll be soon…

So that’s all for now folks!

Update!

I been pretty quiet on here lately. I have seen a few other movies, X-Men and the Green Lantern. I will totally make a blip about those soon. I’ve been out of state and just busy with work so that’s why I’ve not posted much. It’s also almost Micha and I’s 2nd wedding anniversary! July 4th! woot!
The Jasper books are almost finished. They should be released in August via ebook, and then sometime in the fall in actual print. Tis exciting yessss.

So that’s all I’ve got for this little update. Some new art in the gallery… and yeah. That’s all folks!

Thor

Other than the Norse mythology I don’t know much about Thor, never read the comics or anything. So I went into this movie with fresh eyes… guess you’d say, or no opinions, and… I liked it. I thought they did a pretty darn good job. The characters are built up rather well and the cast they got for each character was pretty good. I still dislike Natalie Portman’s acting and thought she was pretty flat, but hey that’s just me, I thought the same in the new Star Wars. I think I only ever liked her acting in one movie and that was when she was a kid. XD Movie was called “Léon”, I forget the American release name. Anyways back to Thor. Actor for Thor was great. He fit is his role perfectly. I think Anthony Hopkins was a great choice for Odin too. Ah heck, they all pretty much were great.

Good movie, lots of action, awesome visual effects, interesting scenes, well thought out characters, and a nice score. My only issue with this film was it was too short. It was only an hour and fifty minutes long. Most movies like these are easily two and a half hours long and I think this one could have been and not drug it out. It seemed like we just sat down to watch it and then it was over. They spent most of the time building up Thor and his brother and how it all started, but once he got to earth it felt rather rushed. Now maybe they’ll release an extended cut on DVD that fixes that or maybe it’s just how they made it. I dunno, but I think they could have added about thirty more minutes onto this film to build up the characters on earth more, so I’d care a little bit more about them. I mean the chick falls for him in a day, unless they just didn’t show time passing at all.

Do you need to see it in 3-D? No. I didn’t because, for one, it drives me nuts to have to wear more glasses on top of the ones I already have, and two, I don’t wanna spend an extra 4-6 dollars just for that. It’s nice and all but now i think it’s overdone. Anyways, the movie was not shot in 3-D so it’s just a conversion and I don’t think it’s gonna add much to it if you see it in 3-D, but that’s just my opinion.

Overall, it was a good movie, I liked it almost as much as Iron Man. Oh yes and watch for the references to Iron Man in this movie. They made me chortle. So go see it! I will be getting it on DVD when it’s out.
